Civil Engineering has a special status in Engineering Education. Civil Engineering plays a key role in the development of other fields of Engineering.

The pioneer of all studies is considered as engineering of which civil engineering is considered as “The mother of Engineering”. Civil engineering offers a wide range of especially in the development of private and public sectors which directly influence the growth of the nation.

The department of Civil Engineering was started in the year of 2010. It offers an under graduate course in Civil Engineering with an intake of 60 students every year. Our main goal is to be the centre of excellence for the development and dissemination of knowledge in Structural, Construction management, Water Resources and management, Transportation, Environmental, Urban, Geotechnical, Remote sensing & GIS and its applications. The Department has good infrastructure and it is well equipped with state- of- the art laboratory facilities necessary for imparting high quality education and is structured to meet out the present day needs of the Civil Engineering field. Students from our department have always proved to be meritorious. The department has well experienced and qualified faculty members who are regularly presenting papers in journals and conferences.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • The Objectives of the Civil Engineering undergraduate program are to prepare our graduates to:
  • Successfully obtain employment in their areas of expertise in the public or private sectors.
  • Understand the ethical and professional demands of contemporary civil engineering practice.
  • Successfully enroll in graduate engineering or other professional programs.
  • Understand the necessity of teamwork in engineering practice.
