About Alumni

The college’s Alumni Association plays a pivotal role in fostering enduring relationships between graduates and their alma mater. Alumni have made significant contributions to the institution’s growth, particularly through endowments and the organization of lectures. By facilitating stronger connections between alumni, students, and the college, the association enhances the overall student experience. Each alumnus has evolved from a student into a distinguished graduate, achieving remarkable academic success and securing promising career opportunities.

The mission of the SRM TRP Engineering College Office of Alumni Association is to establish a global, lifelong alumni network by creating enhanced opportunities for impactful engagement. This initiative is designed to elevate alumni pride, foster active participation and volunteerism, and strengthen philanthropic support for SRMTRPEC.

To nurture pride and goodwill among alumni and students, assist alumni in fostering a philanthropic and entrepreneurial mindset within the student body, and provide guidance and events designed to inspire students and develop their skills.

A key objective of alumni groups is to cultivate a network of former students who contribute to enhancing the college’s visibility.

1. To unite the alumni of SRM TRP Engineering College in a single forum for the exchange of experiences, dissemination of knowledge, and sharing of talents, while fostering fellowship and advancing scientific knowledge for the benefit of the community and country. These bylaws aim to implement the mission and objectives of the SRM TRP Engineering College Alumni Association as outlined in the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Specifically, they establish a platform for alumni, faculty, staff, and students of the college to interact for mutual benefit and the benefit of the Association. The bylaws define the organizational structure, rules, and procedures for proper governance, in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Societies Act of 1975.
2. To cultivate and sustain a lasting interest in and loyalty to SRM TRP Engineering College, maintain a comprehensive roster of all alumni with relevant data, keep this information current, and promote strong relationships among alumni. Additionally, to build a positive rapport between the college’s management, staff, students, and the public to enhance the college’s public image and foster its growth and development.
3. To organize seminars, conferences, workshops, and meetings for alumni and faculty to advance engineering knowledge and skills. To assist recent graduates in staying engaged in productive activities beneficial to society, and to provide a platform for alumni to exchange ideas on academic, cultural, and social issues through organized reunion activities.
4. To represent the association at seminars, conferences, workshops, and meetings conducted by various engineering associations and organizations. To seek recognition and representation in state and central government forums, as well as private and autonomous bodies, to further the association’s objectives.
5. To advise and collaborate with state and central government bodies, universities, professional associations, and engineering and equipment manufacturing industries on matters related to the promotion of engineering education.
6. To create and establish endowments for awarding scholarships and prizes to students of SRM TRP Engineering College, with the aim of encouraging and recognizing student talent.
7. To allocate association funds for the infrastructure and other development activities of SRM TRP Engineering College.
8. To undertake any actions or activities necessary to further the objectives outlined above.
